If you find out that abuse has occurred or you suspect it you will need to report it to someone. Check your workplace policies and procedures on the reporting of abuse in your workplace, as you must follow workplace rules.

You can report abuse internally within your organisation and this can be initially done by phone or talking to someone but if urgent action is required, it may be necessary to report to the Police to stop the abuse fast. Dial 999 and ask for the Police then explain to them what the problem is. You can also phone your local Police number or go to the police station in person.

Finally, if urgent action is required, this may mean that you could be at risk, so always ensure at all times you keep safe at all times.
